Livingston County ranked 33rd in state for resident earnings in 2017

Livingston County ranked 33rd among counties in Missouri by annual earnings per resident, according to data obtained from the U.S. Census Bureau in August.

The median income of Livingston County residents was an inflation-adjusted $25,039 per year. Livingston County had 5,813 households in 2017, with a population of 15,025.

The county with the highest median resident income in the state was Platte County. Platte County's median income was $38,008 per year after adjusting for inflation – $12,969 more than Livingston County. It had 38,147 households in 2017 and a population of 96,899.

Mississippi County had the lowest annual resident income among counties in Missouri, with a median income of only $15,072 per year. That was $9,967 less than the median income in Livingston County at the time. Mississippi County had 5,128 households in 2017 and a population of 13,916.
