Census Bureau: More women than men in California in 2019

Of the 4,405 people living in California in 2019, 50.7 percent (2,235) were women and 49.3 percent (2,170) were men, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained by the Jefferson City News.

Females 18 and over outnumbered males in the same age group by a ratio of 1,291-to-1,233. In the 65 and over age range, there were 433 females and 334 males.
