5.3% of citizens unemployed in Callaway County in 2021

Callaway County recorded an unemployment rate of 5.3% among residents aged 16 and 65 years old in 2021. That’s 1,132 people out of the 44,449 living in Callaway County at the time, according to data obtained from the U.S. Census Bureau.

The unemployment rate in Callaway County has decreased compared to the 5.7% registered in 2020.

The percentage of people unemployed in Callaway County was greater than the statewide unemployment rate of 4.5%.

Of the 20,263 people who had a job during that time, 15 were employed in the Armed Forces and 20,248 belonged to the civilian labor force.
