3.2% of Cole County residents considered unemployed in 2021

Cole County recorded an unemployment rate of 3.2% among residents aged 16 and 65 years old in 2021. That’s 1,284 people out of the 77,412 living in Cole County at the time, according to data obtained from the U.S. Census Bureau.

The unemployment rate in Cole County has decreased compared to the 3.9% registered in 2020.

The percentage of people unemployed in Cole County was less than the statewide unemployment rate of 4.5%.

Of the 38,361 people who had a job during that time, 103 were employed in the Armed Forces and 38,258 belonged to the civilian labor force.
