Following the recent Supreme Court rulings in Trump v. United States and SEC v. Jarkesy, Congressman Blaine Luetkemeyer (MO-03) released a statement:
"Today, we celebrate monumental victories for the Constitution and a reaffirmation of the core principles that make our nation great."
"Over the last week, the Supreme Court has delivered a resounding victory for the principles of justice and the rule of law that our great nation was founded upon. By upholding the integrity of our constitutional framework, the Court has dealt decisive blows to the radical Left’s ongoing attempts to weaponize the judiciary branch. Not only did they affirm the importance of due process and the protection of individual rights against overreach by regulatory bodies, but this decision was a clear triumph for the rights of individuals to fair treatment under the law, safeguarding against arbitrary and unchecked power by regulatory agencies," said Congressman Luetkemeyer.
"Presidential immunity protects the Office of the President from unjust political harassment and reinforces that baseless and politically motivated lawsuits have no place in our democracy – an idea not widely accepted amongst the far left. The relentless efforts by the radical Left to undermine our institutions and derail the future Trump presidency have been successfully squashed."
Congressman Luetkemeyer encourages constituents to visit his official website or call his offices in Jefferson City (573-635-7232) or Cottleville (636-327-7055) with questions and concerns. He also invites them to follow his activities on YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
