Bob Onder, a U.S. politician and former member of the Missouri Senate, recently used his social media platform to highlight the contributions of truck drivers, veterans' organizations, and working parents through a series of posts made on September 15 and 16, 2025.
In a post dated September 15, Onder acknowledged the efforts of trucking professionals during National Truck Driver Appreciation Week (NTDAW). He wrote: "Truck driving is no easy task. Day and night, these dedicated men and women keep America moving - delivering the goods that fuel our economy and sustain our communities. Later that same day, Onder commended Central MO Honor Flight’s organization for its longstanding service to veterans in central Missouri. He stated: "Central MO Honor Flight’s org has done everything they can over the last 15 years to honor our vets. If you or a loved one are a mid-MO vet and still wish to participate, they will assist in connecting you with other honor flight orgs in the state. https://t.co/ywsH09YqXE".
On September 16, he turned his attention to working parents by marking National Working Parents Day with a personal note about shared responsibility. Onder posted: "Americans are never afraid to roll up their sleeves and get to work. On #NationalWorkingParentsDay, we honor the moms and dads who work tirelessly to provide for their loved ones. As a working parent myself, I understand that responsibility firsthand. The Working Families Tax".
Central MO Honor Flight is part of an established national network aimed at honoring American military veterans by transporting them to Washington D.C. free of charge so they may visit memorials dedicated to their service and sacrifice.
