Bob Onder addresses government shutdown debate and honors military service in recent posts

Bob Onder, a U.S. Congressman, posted several messages on his social media account between November 10 and 11, 2025, addressing topics ranging from government policy to national commemorations.

On November 10, 2025, Onder criticized the Democratic Party's stance during an ongoing government shutdown. He wrote: "Through this government shutdown, the Democrats primary talking point has been extending subsidies for Obamacare - an unmitigated failure that has driven premiums up, while lowering the quality of care for hardworking Americans. After months of unnecessary gridlock, Democrats".

Later that day, Onder marked a significant military anniversary with a message to the United States Marine Corps. In his post he stated: "Happy 250th Birthday to the @USMC! For 250 years, the United States Marines have exemplified courage, discipline, and steadfast dedication to defending our nation. Today, we honor every Marine, past and present, whose service and sacrifice have kept America safe, strong, and" (November 10).

On Veterans Day—November 11—Onder acknowledged those who served in the armed forces by posting: "Today, on #VeteransDay, we pause to honor the men and women who have served our nation with unwavering dedication. Those who have worn the uniform put the safety and security of every American above their own. They deserve our respect and gratitude, and our continued commitment".

These statements come as part of broader national conversations about healthcare policy debates during government funding negotiations as well as annual recognitions of military service such as Veterans Day and major anniversaries for branches like the U.S. Marine Corps.
