Bob Onder, a U.S. Congressman, has recently shared several updates on his official Twitter account regarding legislative efforts, appointments, and historical preservation.

On August 18, 2025, Onder addressed parental rights in the context of state laws and minors' decisions. He stated, "This legislation is critical to protecting parental rights when it comes to the most serious and irreversible decision a minor can make. No one should be able to secretly transport a child across state lines to bypass parental consent or notification laws."

The following day, August 19, 2025, Onder congratulated Andrew Bailey on his new role at the Federal Bureau of Investigation. In his post he wrote, "Congratulations to my friend @AGAndrewBailey on his appointment as Deputy Director of the @FBI! A loss for the great state of Missouri, but a new and tremendous asset to the FBI." Andrew Bailey previously served as Missouri's Attorney General before this federal appointment.

Later that same day, Onder highlighted his recent legislative initiative related to historical recognition. He posted: "I had the pleasure to tour America’s National Churchill Museum. @ChurchillMuseum I recently introduced H.R. 1945 to designate the museum a national historic landmark. The museum is at the site of Churchill’s famous 1946 Iron Curtain speech, a turning point in American and..." The National Churchill Museum is located in Fulton, Missouri and commemorates Winston Churchill's "Iron Curtain" speech delivered in 1946—a key moment marking early Cold War tensions between Western democracies and Soviet influence.

Onder’s comments reflect ongoing discussions around parental involvement in minors’ medical decisions—an issue debated both federally and within states—and highlight efforts by lawmakers like him to address cross-state legal discrepancies concerning consent laws.
